The Little Elm, TX driver's choice for paintless dent & hail repair
Little Elm is a peninsula town: water on three sides, new rooftops on the fourth, and almost nothing between a storm coming off Lewisville Lake and the cars parked along FM 423. The subdivisions that filled in the last fifteen years — Paloma Creek, Union Park, Sunset Pointe, Wildridge, Valencia — were built with two-car garages and three-car households, so the overflow lives in the driveway. When hail comes across the lake, that is where it lands. We're about half an hour away, and we'll handle your insurance start-to-finish.
Whether you live in Paloma Creek, Union Park, Sunset Pointe, Wildridge, Valencia on the Lake, Frisco Ranch, the Lakefront district or the older streets around Main and Eldorado, we make it effortless. Send us a couple of photos of the damage. We come back with a written quote, schedule a convenient pickup from your home or office, drop off a clean loaner car, and handle every detail of the insurance claim. You drive the loaner while we work. When it's done, we deliver your car back to Little Elm — restored to factory-perfect condition, with the original paint untouched.
Why drive past the body shops in Little Elm?
There are body shops along US-380 and FM 423 that are closer to you than our Plano location — but most of them aren't paintless dent specialists. They're general-purpose collision shops that handle hail and dent work by sanding, filling, and repainting. That process kills your factory finish and shows up on Carfax as collision-grade work. And after a storm like March 2024, the pop-up tents arrive in the retail lots along 380; they're gone long before a warranty question comes up.
DentPicks specializes in paintless dent repair (PDR), the same technique used by manufacturers and certified luxury dealers to preserve factory paint. Read more on our PDR services page, or see exactly how we handle hail repair claims.
Carrier-specific questions are answered on our hail claims by insurer pages — for example how State Farm and USAA hail claims move through inspection, supplement and payment in Texas.
Hail history in Little Elm
March 14, 2024 was, by HailTrace's count, the busiest hail day on record in the United States, and Little Elm was in the middle of the North Texas half of it. A storm that formed north of Fort Worth tracked toward Lewisville Lake in the early evening, dropping hail up to 3 inches across the county; by 6:47 p.m. spotters were logging ping-pong-ball hail in Little Elm, by 6:50 tennis-ball hail at El Dorado Parkway and FM 423 on the Frisco line, and photographs from that night show fields in Little Elm covered white and hailstones lined up on the lakeshore. More than 51,000 properties took golf-ball-size hail or larger.
Nine months earlier, on the evening of Sunday, June 11, 2023, the supercell that dropped a photo-measured 4.25-inch stone in Flower Mound crossed the lake and put baseball-size hail on The Colony and large hail across Frisco — Little Elm sits directly between the two. And the April 3, 2014 outbreak that dropped 4.25-inch hail on Denton also left 2.75-inch stones in Aubrey, just up the road, and 2-inch hail in Frisco.
If your vehicle was caught in any of those storms — or you're just now noticing dents months later — we can still help. Most insurance policies allow hail claims well after the storm date, as long as the policy was active at the time. Bring your declarations page to your free inspection and we'll confirm what's covered.

Common questions from Little Elm drivers
Is pickup really complimentary from Little Elm?
On insurance-approved hail repairs, yes — we pick up and deliver anywhere in Little Elm at no charge, including home, office, dealership, or airport. For door dings and other out-of-pocket PDR work, pickup is not included; those jobs are usually finished the same day at the shop, so ask us when you get your quote.
Do I get a rental car if I live in Little Elm?
Yes. Every hail-repair customer gets a complimentary loaner for the entire repair window. We deliver it to you in Little Elm when we pick up your damaged car.
How long is my car away from Little Elm?
Most hail repairs are 5–10 business days. PDR-only jobs (single dents, dings) are often same-day. We'll give you a firm timeline at the quote.
Does my insurance cover hail damage in Little Elm?
If you carry comprehensive coverage, yes. The hail claim itself is not surcharged in Texas — hail is treated as an act of nature, not driver fault — though insurers price on many other factors, so premiums can still move. Coverage depends on the language of your policy. Read more in our insurance guide.
Both our cars were dented in the March 2024 storm. Can you handle two claims at once?
Yes, and it's common in Little Elm. We can inspect both vehicles at the same visit, open both claims, and stagger the pickups so you're never without a car — the loaner covers each vehicle's repair window on an approved hail claim.
I live in Oak Point or Lakewood Village. Do you pick up there too?
Yes. Both are served on the same terms as Little Elm: complimentary pickup, loaner and delivery on an approved hail claim, and the same drive to the Plano shop.
